Closed Area for Shellfish Harvesting Lower St. Lawrence

QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Nov. 1, 2012) - Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Quebec Region, wants to inform the Lower St. Lawrence population that harvesting of shellfish is now forbidden due to cessation of biotoxin monitoring, in accordance with the prohibition order mentioned below, and pursuant to subsection 3(1) of the Management of Contaminated Fisheries Regulations, in the following shellfish area:

Riviere-du-Loup: Île Verte (B-02.4)

The waters around Île Verte, at less than 800 meters off the shore.
