GSN Appoints Andrew Pedersen as Chief Studio Officer

Creative Games Industry Veteran to Oversee Virtual Currency Game Production Across Platforms

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Nov 5, 2012) - GSN announced today that Andrew Pedersen has joined the company as Chief Studio Officer, reporting to Jeff Karp, Executive Vice President Mobile & Social Games. In this newly created position, Pedersen is based in GSN Digital's San Francisco office and will oversee the company's virtual currency game production across its mobile, social and online gaming platforms. 

Pedersen comes to GSN from Tagged, where he was Vice President & General Manager, Social Games. Prior to Tagged, he was Senior Vice President, Studio for social games start-up Offspring, which he co-founded and helped facilitate its acquisition by NeoEdge. Previously, Pedersen held various positions with Electronic Arts, most recently as Vice President & General Manager, Pogo. During his tenure with EA, he developed casual game titles including Poppit, Word Whomp, Turbo 21 and multiple casino games; created Club Pogo, the successful casual games subscription service; and led the global strategy and P&L for Pogo across three continents.
