Mitchell Releases Decision Point(R) 7.3

Expert Guidance for Efficient and Effective Medical Bill Processing

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - Nov 12, 2012) - Mitchell, a leading provider of technology, connectivity and information solutions to the Property & Casualty claims and Collision Repair industries, today announced the commercial release of Decision Point® 7.3, a market-leading medical bill review and workflow solution for 1st and 3rd party liability adjusters. Continued application of Agile Development principles has enabled Mitchell to rapidly deliver enhancements to the software application, including significant improvements to usability, and a focus on state-level compliance for Florida, Hawaii, Minnesota, and New York.

"For this development cycle, we've focused on key aspects of delivering better results, improving usability, as well as a continued focus on state specific enhancements for increased regulatory compliance for our clients," said Vidya Dinamani, Vice President of Product Management and Marketing for Mitchell. "Our commitment to Agile supports faster delivery of value to our clients, and every enhancement has been developed incorporating client feedback throughout the development process to ensure we're exceeding client expectations."

An important addition to the product is the introduction of automated bill review options and support for Florida House Bill 119 (HB 119). The Decision Point 7.3 release increases adjuster efficiency by automatically applying rules subject to HB 119 and built-in customizable options. This release augments the method of identifying duplicate bills, a significant feature in delivering better results. Implementation of a cleaner layout with multi-colored icons on the claim level display of bills enhances the usability of the product to realize efficiency gains for the adjuster. Combined reporting on third party claims reduces handling while increasing consistency. Updates to the Minnesota tax implementation and the New York NF-10 form configurability round out the major changes for this Decision Point release.
