Sunshine Opens Goat's Eye Mountain

BANFF, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Nov. 26, 2012) - Sunshine Village Ski and Snowboard Resort opened Goat's Eye Express today, giving riders and skiers access to all 12 lifts for the 2012-2013 season.

Known for its advanced terrain and exceptional intermediate groomed runs, the opening of Goat's Eye Mountain will offer skiers and riders the ability to experience all three mountains at the internationally recognized resort.

"This finalizes the opening of all our lifts and terrain for this ski season, way ahead of schedule," begins Dave Riley, Chief Operating Officer at Sunshine Village Ski and Snowboard Resort. "What is most impressive is the exceptional quality of ski conditions we are currently seeing at the resort."

Week-long snow storms have continued to blanket Sunshine Village in champagne powder snow, resulting in exceptional early season conditions. More than two metres of snow has fallen on Sunshine to date, providing a current snow pack of 102 centimetres (40 inches).

"Goat's Eye offers such an expansive variety of terrain and it really makes Sunshine a complete experience," finishes Riley.

The Goat's Eye Gardens restaurant at the base of Goat's Eye is also fully open to guests.
