CINCINNATI, OH--(Marketwire - Nov 29, 2012) - Datalliance, the world's largest independent provider of Vendor Managed Inventory services, shared the benefits of VMI at the European Power Transmission Distributors Association (EPTDA) convention held 26-28 September 2012 in Lisbon, Portugal. Datalliance CEO and President, Carl Hall, and Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Bob Jennings, participated by sharing their perspectives during the session titled "Improving Distributor Performance." This session focused on how VMI helps distributors improve service levels, increase inventory turns, reduce costs and strengthen supplier relationships.

"We thank Datalliance for the active role they have been playing with EPTDA," said Hans Hanegreefs, EPTDA Executive Vice President. "VMI is a business practice being adopted by a growing number of industrial product suppliers and distributors in Europe. Datalliance is helping educate our membership on how it works and the advantages it provides to both parties."

Participation in the EPTDA convention is one of the many activities Datalliance has been performing as part of the company's program to expand operations into Europe. This year, Datalliance has expanded its Customer Care group to support all major European languages, and opened its European headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. Globally, Datalliance has experienced a 26% growth rate per year over the past seven years and today supports over 13,000 customer sites, 17 million SKU's, and $14 billion in VMI transactions.

Carl Hall, Datalliance CEO & President, recently stated, "We are seeing considerable interest from large companies in establishing a consistent platform for VMI on a global basis. We are positioning Datalliance to be the obvious choice for companies headquartered in Europe, just as we have done within North America."

In addition to Datalliance's customer base in North America, Datalliance VMI is used by manufacturers in both industrial and consumer products in 49 locations and 15 countries within Europe. Overall, Datalliance is used by manufacturers to manage inventory locations in 41 countries world-wide, including locations in South America, Asia, and Australia in addition to North America and Europe. Many Datalliance customers are global leaders within their industries, including the US operations of a number of European headquartered companies such as Philips, Schneider Electric, Siemens, and SKF.
