Through lectures and interactive discussions between the audience and experts, participants will learn about research-based approaches to a variety of important and commonly encountered aspects of prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum and neonatal care.
Current clinical issues that will be highlighted include skin-to-skin, sleep, HIV at-risk patients and Cord Blood Banking.

About The Centre for Mother, Infant, and Child Research
The Centre for Mother, Infant, and Child Research (CMICR) was established to improve the health of women and their infants and children through clinical research and education. Based at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, CMICR's strength lies in the coordination of multicentre, national and international randomized controlled trials. These trials are designed to answer important questions about the care of childbearing women and their infants and children. CMICR's work, led by interdisciplinary teams of researchers, focuses on medical/physical and emotional/social outcomes.
