January Issue of The Canadian Business Journal Now Online

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 19, 2012) - George Media Inc. is pleased to announce the January issue of The Canadian Business Journal is now available online at http://www.cbj.ca/EMAG/2013/Jan/CBJ.php.

This edition focuses on Canadian and global economics with a report from Finance Minister Jim Flaherty and the international policymakers who will be front and centre in 2013, including Mark Carney, who takes over as Bank of England Governor in July. Tina Kremmidas, Chief Economist with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce also provides tremendous insight as to what to be looking for in the New Year.

Canadian oil sands have been a source of controversy in this country and it's only going to continue with more energy companies moving full-steam ahead in this sector. We hear from Suncor Energy CEO Steve Williams on this topic. He speaks candidly about the need for continued improvements, but stands firm behind the industry.

We've also got an interview with a pair of dynamic transplanted Torontonians now living the good life as real estate agents in Beverly Hills. In just over a year, they've managed to sell millions of dollars worth of homes, including sales to A-list Hollywood stars. Additionally, they've opened a Toronto office for Canadian snowbirds who are considering buying property in sunny southern California.

You'll also want to read Alex Carrick's column on Bracing for Triskaidekaphobia - the fear of 13 and the connections to 2013. Melonie Dodaro provides excellent advice on why business needs a strong social media presence to reach its full potential. We also have an in-depth feature on Blackburn Radio Inc., a thriving family-owned network led by President Richard Costley-White. There is all that and much more in this edition of CBJ.
