8over8 and Critical Software Announce Partnership to Drive Mega Project Profitability in Portuguese Speaking Countries

Portuguese Language Version of ProCon Contract Management Solution Now Available

LONDON, Dec. 19, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- 8over8, experts in mega project contract management, and Critical Software, specialists in critical information systems, have entered into a partnership agreement that will help deliver greater profitability for customers engaged in large capital intensive projects across the Portuguese speaking world.

Under the agreement, Critical Software will adopt 8over8's proven ProCon contract relationship platform in all Portuguese speaking territories, including Brazil, Mozambique and Angola.  As a result, Critical's customers delivering mega projects in the oil & gas and large capital project sectors will benefit from a greater level of insight into all elements of a project at any given time. Typically, it is difficult to instantly access all important information and assess its impact due to the complex and chaotic nature of large capital projects and the fact that most software is limited by siloes that exist between job roles. ProCon overcomes those issues.

ProCon is an acclaimed relationship platform that connects teams and provides deep and instant insight into contracts in capital projects. The partnership will see the immediate release of a Portuguese language version of ProCon, along with an extension of 8over8's software development team and solution delivery team in Portuguese speaking markets.  Critical's skilled software engineers and business process experts will be working alongside 8over8 developers and delivery team on several projects.

Commenting on the partnership, Clare Colhoun, CEO of 8over8 said:

"The volume of mega projects underway in Portuguese speaking markets is very significant. In Brazil alone, there are many billions of dollars committed to projects including the Olympics, World Cup, mining and oil and gas, which is why these markets are a priority for 8over8.  Our tried and tested ProCon platform creates value in mega projects by unifying key stakeholders, protecting investment and driving performance.  By working with Critical, we can offer our solution to Portuguese speaking customers for the first time."

Currently, contract management for large scale capital projects is complex and exposes project managers to a high degree of risk.  ProCon introduces a common contract communications platform that connects the parties, such as engineers, legal and finance teams on a contract. This allows teams to work collaboratively in a predetermined space.

Rui Avelãs, Global Business Development Manager at Critical Software said:

"As the volume of large capital projects continues to grow in the Portuguese speaking world,  increasingly, we're seeing a focus on maximizing the profitability of mega projects, and offering ProCon to our customers will help achieve that. 8over8 has a wealth of experience in across a range of sectors and understands clients' challenges, making it a safe choice."

The partnership between 8over8 and Critical software means that ProCon is available immediately in Portuguese speaking countries. For more information, visit www.criticalsoftware.com.
