Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. Gives Businesses First-Ever Free Credit Report

New CreditSignal(TM) Product Alerts Businesses When Changes Take Place in Their Credit Report

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - Dec 20, 2012) - Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp., the leading provider of credit building and credibility management solutions for businesses, today introduced CreditSignal™, a first-of-its-kind free business credit report that alerts companies to changes in their business credit scores and ratings.

D&B Credibility designed CreditSignal as a free offering because the company saw an acute market need for a business credit alert system that could be used by every business. By creating a free alert product similar to those offered by personal credit bureaus, D&B Credibility is pushing for broad adoption in the hopes that every business in America will take control of and stay alerted to changes taking place in their business credit file.

The broad-based need for such a product was underscored by last month's security breach in the South Carolina Department of Revenue. D&B Credibility reacted quickly to this crisis, partnering with South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley to make its credit monitoring tools available for free to help protect affected businesses. Because CreditSignal was not yet available for use at that time, D&B Credibility provided South Carolina businesses free access to its CreditAlert™ product, which otherwise subscribers pay either $19.99 monthly or $199 annually.

"We now live in a world where breaches are becoming more common and credit security -- personal and business credit -- can be at risk," said Nikki Haley, Governor of South Carolina. "We have experienced first-hand that even the government is not immune when hackers get involved."

"The security breach in South Carolina validated what our market research had already identified; every business needs a free product that simply alerts them to activity taking place in their credit file so they can stay in control of their business credit," said Jeff Stibel, Chairman and CEO of Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp.

CreditSignal provides subscribers with indicators as to the company's overall credit health. Alerts are sent anytime a CreditSignal customer experiences a change to their D&B scores and ratings and when another business, bank or other entity pulls a credit report on that subscriber. In the event a subscriber chooses to monitor more closely or address an unhealthy business credit file, D&B Credibility offers CreditMonitor™ and CreditBuilder™. Businesses interested in subscribing to the free CreditSignal product or learning more about business credit monitoring can visit www.creditsignal.com. As of Monday, December 24th, businesses can sign up for CreditSignal from smartphones at m.creditsignal.com.
