Minor fire in Pampalo underground mine

A minor fire occurred in the Pampalo underground mine Sunday evening. The fire
started when the scaling equipment hit a power cable. The cable and the boom
took fire. Three miners evacuated themselves to the underground safety container
in accordance with mine safety plan and training. The fire was extinguished by
itself in less than one hour after which the three men returned to the surface.
Material damages were restricted to a few hundred euros. The incident does not
have any effect to the production at the mine.
