TIMMINS, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Jan. 31, 2013) - Approximately 10 army reservists from The Algonquin Regiment (Alq R) will conduct military navigation training east of the Timmins District Hospital between the hours of 5-9 p.m on January 31, 2013.
Soldiers will not have any weapons during this time but may be seen within the wooded area near the hospital. This basic navigation training helps enhance orienteering skills for soldiers prior to the upcoming EXERCISE TRILLIUM RESPONSE being conducted in Northern Ontario in February 2013.
The Alq R is an infantry reserve unit with approximately 100 members of which 40 make up Bravo Company that is located in Timmins Ont.
