FM3 Marketing Helps Answer the Question: R U Faster Than a Redneck?

The show, which premieres Friday, February 22 on the SPEED Channel, pits American muscle cars against Japanese and European import cars in the race to find out which is faster.

Grafton, Wis., Feb. 22, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The war between American muscle and exotic cars continues on the new show, R U Faster Than a Redneck. Episode 1 premiers Friday, February 22, on SPEED TV following the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race from Daytona.  Beginning Monday, February 25, the show will air on SPEED at 9:00 p.m. EST.  Following a request from SPEED for professional race direction on set, the high performance event experts from FM3 Marketing orchestrated each race throughout the eight episode season, ensuring the competitors stayed safe and production ran smoothly.

Filming took place in Kershaw, South Carolina where the FM3 Performance Marketing team organized racers that came from various parts of the country to compete against some of the best pro-touring drivers in the industry at Carolina Motorsports Park with a $10,000 prize at stake.

"We were also responsible for making sure the cars passed technical inspection and keeping the races even and fair over the course of the season," said FM3 Performance Marketing President, Jimi Day. "We had fun directing the races from the flag tower, but it was a lot of work on the ground to keep the drivers organized and make sure they followed the rules while they were out on the track.  We are grateful to SPEED and BCII TV for including us in the production, and we look forward to helping with the second season."

The show is commentated by the original voice of the Daytona 500 and National Motorsports Press Association Hall of Fame member, Ken Squier, and hosted by comedian Jon Reep.  Celebrities will make guest appearances throughout the series including NASCAR driver and SPEED Analyst Kenny Wallace and actor John Schneider from The Dukes of Hazzard.

"Making sure the event ran smoothly was not only important for the racers, but for the film crew as well," said FM3 Performance Marketing Vice President, Wally Olczak. "We worked around a set schedule and had to adapt to weather conditions to keep things moving and safe for the cast, crew and racers."
