GSN Hires Jeff Anderson as Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning and Business Development

WALTHAM, MA--(Marketwire - Mar 7, 2013) - GSN Digital today announced that Jeff Anderson will join the company as senior vice president, strategic planning and business development, reporting to Peter Blacklow, executive vice president, GSN Digital. Anderson will focus on commercial and strategic partnerships designed to grow GSN Digital's stakes-based games businesses on social, mobile and web platforms.

Anderson comes to GSN Digital from Majesco Entertainment, where he was senior vice president, social and mobile games. Prior to that, he was founder/CEO of Quick Hit Inc. At Quick Hit, he secured a video game license from the National Football League for Quick Hit NFL Football. Previously, Anderson was president and CEO of Turbine (now part of Warner Brothers), where he successfully built the company from a small developer into a global brand with hit titles like The Lord of the Rings Online and Dungeons & Dragons Online. He has also held leadership positions with Electronic Arts and Viacom/Paramount.

"GSN Digital continues to invest in hiring top senior management talent to help us meet our ambitious goals of growing our social, mobile and web games businesses," said Peter Blacklow. "Jeff is a world-class talent in the digital games space, responsible for orchestrating many high profile, game-changing licensing and distribution deals. We're excited to have him join the team."

Anderson commented, "I am thrilled to become part of GSN Digital. The company has done an impressive job expanding its business and platform offerings through organic growth as well as strategic acquisitions. I look forward to working with the team to develop key relationships focused on strengthening current offerings as well as adding new games and ways to play them."

Anderson is also a steering committee member of Mass Digi, a consortium of leaders in Massachusetts drafting the plan and legislation to build a robust digital gaming cluster in New England.

Anderson starts on March 11 and will be based in GSN Digital's headquarters in Waltham, Mass.
