Lyfe Communications Prepares for Future Growth

Company Brings on Cable TV & Computer Communications Technology Veteran to Lead Its MDU Business

SALT LAKE CITY, March 7, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Lyfe Communications, Inc. (OTCBB:LYFE) ("Lyfe" or the "Company"), a technology leader in the development of next generation media and communication services integrating TV, high-speed Internet and enhanced voice services through a single broadband connection across all connected devices, today announced that it has engaged cable TV and communications technology veteran Bob Toombs to head up its MDU (Multiple Dwelling Unit) business, focusing primarily on management and sales. He joined the Company effective January 2013.

Mr. Toombs brings over 40 years of sales and general management leadership in the field of cable TV and computer communications technology to Lyfe's management team. Prior to joining in 2013, Bob served as SVP Business Development for Ygnition Networks, one of the fastest growing Private Cable Operators dedicated exclusively to the multi-family industry, where he was responsible for managing the Texas market until its recent sale to Access Media 3. Previous to his position with Ygnition, he was a member of the management team of DirecPath, a company that acquired and integrated 5 private cable operators serving major markets throughout the southeastern and southwestern United States. Bob also founded, owned and operated Networks, Inc., a data communications systems integration firm for 17 years. He began his career with RCA, Burroughs and Milgo Electronics.

Mr. Toombs commented, "Having seen a lot of changes and trends occur within the industry throughout my career, I find Lyfe's innovation in technology and far-reaching capabilities outstanding. Their ability to get next generation media and communication services into the hands of underserved MDU markets is very exciting. I'm excited to be working with their strong management team and facilitating the expansion of their MDU customer base."

"Our MDU business is growing and with plenty of unmet demand already identified, we anticipate this trend to continue," stated Greg Smith, Chief Executive Officer of Lyfe Communications. "In preparation for impending growth, we have brought on Bob to head up our sales and operations efforts in this sector. Highly experienced, we expect that with his skill we will be better able to meet this demand and further grow our geographical presence into other markets yet to be targeted. We are pleased to have him on board and look forward to his contributions in the time ahead."
