New Hampshire EPSCoR Selects Trunity eLearning Platform as Collaboration Solution for $20 Million National Science Foundation Grant

NH Scientists and Researchers to Publish Critical Information for State Decision Makers

NEWBURYPORT, MA--(Marketwired - Apr 15, 2013) - Trunity Holdings Inc. (OTCQB: TNTY), a leading provider of eLearning content and solutions for institutions, organizations and businesses, today announced the New Hampshire association of the National Science Foundation's (NSF) Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) has selected the company's content and collaboration platform. As part of a five-year $20 million grant from the NSF given to the NH EPSCoR program, Trunity will provide the web-based, interactive platform to bring together researchers from around the state to publish, share and discuss their findings pertaining to the climate, engineering, mathematics, science and technology.

Currently, there are 28 states and three territories that have EPSCoR status. In New Hampshire, the NSF NH EPSCoR program is based at the University of New Hampshire, administered by the UNH Senior Vice Provost for Research and a Statewide Committee composed of representatives from industry, academia and government. Research and outreach activities funded by the NSF EPSCoR awards in NH have created new collaborations between colleges and universities, with the private sector, and with K-12 educators.

"We're excited to welcome New Hampshire EPSCoR into our Trunity platform for educators; they are the fifth NSF and NASA grant recipient to select our platform," said Terry Anderton, CEO, Trunity. "Like many other research organizations, they require an easy-to-use collaborative platform that gives them control over authorship as well as who views their research. Trunity is committed to working with NH EPSCoR to enhance their collaboration and share the results for the benefit of all who consume it."

NH EPSCoR was faced with the challenge of bringing together researchers from across the state in a collaborative, online space where they could communicate and share resources as a team, subsequently making the results and information from the study available to stakeholders, classrooms and the general public. In addition, the team needed to have the ability to add and retrieve their information in a simple logical process -- without undergoing extensive training. During their review of the Trunity platform, they found that the solution met every one of these needs -- all while eliminating the requirement for additional internal IT resources.

"Trunity was the turnkey solution that we were looking for," said Kevin Gardner, Ph.D., Associate Director, New Hampshire EPSCoR. "As an EPSCoR grant recipient, we had significant requirements for both collaboration and documentation for our research; Trunity's authoring capabilities made it simple for us to communicate, capture and share our valuable information with the people that needed it."
