McCain Inc. to Debut Transparity(TM) Traffic Management System at ITS America

Promote Mobility and Manage Traffic Flow With Next Generation Central Control Software

VISTA, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 16, 2013) - McCain Inc., a leading manufacturer and supplier of intelligent transportation systems, traffic control equipment and parking guidance solutions, today announced plans to debut its new and improved Transparity™ Traffic Management System (TMS) at the Intelligent Transportation Society of America's 2013 Annual Meeting and Exhibition.

Transparity TMS improves roadway efficiency by allowing transportation professionals to proactively manage traffic flow and promote mobility through real-time traffic data collection and management tools. Transparity TMS was reimagined, redesigned, and rebuilt based on user feedback, decades of industry experience, and the successes of its feature-rich predecessor, QuicNet™ central software, which has more than 175 deployments worldwide. As McCain's next generation central control software, Transparity TMS is a truly modern and dynamic system capable of adapting with traffic needs as they evolve.

"We pride ourselves on listening to our customers and providing the tools they need to be successful," said Brian Wagner, ITS solutions manager at McCain Inc. "We developed Transparity TMS to meet the demands of current transportation systems with a program that is easy to learn, customize, and use, while simultaneously offering the functionality normally associated with central control software."

Developed on a modern architecture, Transparity TMS promotes user operability and enables web-access to data anytime, anywhere. It also opens the door to cloud-based hosting options, inter-jurisdictional cooperation, and integration with community outreach programs. Key features of Transparity TMS include a central scheduler, timing editor, customized reporting, and real-time traffic monitoring with web-based maps. The Windows-based architecture and revitalized interface, including features such as the ability to dock and undock windows, sets a new standard for advanced traffic management systems (ATMS).

The announcement is made in advance of ITS America's 2013 Annual Meeting and Exhibition taking place April 22-24, 2013 in Nashville, Tennessee where McCain will showcase Transparity TMS, along with its ATC eX controllers and NEMA cabinet at booth #521. The annual meeting is one of the largest, single gatherings of ITS professionals in the United States, offering attendees the opportunity to network with transportation leaders and learn about the latest technology solutions available.
