Media Advisory: April 28, Day of Mourning for Killed and Injured Workers

CLC Secretary-Treasurer Hassan Yussuff will be in Ottawa


OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 24, 2013) - On Sunday, April 28 Canadians will observe a National Day of Mourning in memory of workers killed or injured on the job. Canadian Labour Congress Secretary-Treasurer Hassan Yussuff will attend an event organized by the Ottawa and District Labour Council. Yussuff will be available to the media.

In 2012, a total of 389 Ontario workers lost their lives as a result of their work. To date, 265 of these claims have been accepted by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board.
