LS3P Recognizes Founder and Long-Standing Community Commitment With a Day of Engagement Celebration


CHARLESTON, S.C., May 1, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- LS3P recognizes architectural visions, dedication and community service in the Carolinas during a 50th Anniversary celebration in May. The celebration will acknowledge the achievements and successes over the past five decades, honor founder Frank Lucas, and look forward to the firm's continued dedication to delivering architectural excellence.

LS3P Chairman Emeritus Frank Lucas has devoted equal parts of his energy and efforts to both the projects he has worked on, as well as the communities where they reside. Throughout his dedicated career, Lucas has created many of the notable buildings in the Carolinas and in addition to his many philanthropic contributions, he has served on the faculty of the South Carolina Real Estate Institute for ten years, as President of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, as Chancellor of the AIA College of Fellows and is a founder and Director of CresCom Bank.

On May 1st, more than 200 LS3P employees will give back to the community as a part of a "Day of Engagement" to mark the 50th Anniversary date. Staff members will donate time visiting area schools and hospitals to read a book to young children that was written and illustrated by the creative team at LS3P and inspired by the firm's founder.
