Closed Areas for Shellfish Harvesting Upper North Shore


QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - May 3, 2013) - Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Quebec, wants to inform the Upper North Shore population that the harvesting of shellfish is now forbidden due to cessation of biotoxin monitoring, in accordance with the prohibitions orders mentioned below, and pursuant to subsection 3(1) of the Management of Contaminated Fisheries Regulations, in the following shellfish areas:

La Grosse Pointe (N-06.2.1)

From La Grosse Pointe to the mouth of the river Saint-Athanase west (covered bridge).

Battures de Manicouagan:

From the mouth of river Saint-Athanase west (covered bridge) to Pointe Paradis.
