American Power Group Announces 100 Percent Participation by WheelTime Network LLC Member Companies to Create a Full Service APG Dual Fuel Dealer Network

Establishes an Unparalleled and Scalable Service Coverage Across North America

LYNNFIELD, MA--(Marketwired - May 9, 2013) -  American Power Group Corporation (OTCQB: APGI) announced today that all eighteen WheelTime Network, LLC ("WheelTime") member companies have become APG Authorized Dealers and will begin to create a full-service network including sales, certified installation, warranty diagnostics and post-install maintenance for APG's CNG and LNG dual-fueled vehicular conversions. This collaboration supports the previously announced National Distributor and Master Marketing Agreement under which WheelTime agreed to endorse APG's technology and engage their eighteen independently-owned member companies to establish a North American network to market APG's Turbocharged Natural Gas™ systems.

Lyle Jensen, CEO of American Power Group, stated, "When combined with our other regional partners, the WheelTime relationship provides us with an unparalleled full-service authorized dealer and installer network across the United States and Canada that would have taken many years and millions of dollars to create on our own. This strategic marketing and operational milestone elevates APG's competitive advantage to create scalability on a national level with an integrated approach focused on consistent quality and reliability."

Mr. Jensen added, "Now that everyone is on board, we have begun our vehicular sales training with key regional sales training sessions scheduled for May and June. One of the WheelTime member locations in the Western region is already certified and has supported twelve 'early-adopter conversions' for numerous customer validations. We anticipate having multiple certified installer locations operating in many major regional markets by calendar year-end as they make the necessary facility upgrades to meet local fire marshal requirements for sales and service of natural gas vehicles. With approximately 200 locations across North America, we have a scalable footprint to handle all anticipated growth phases as the heavy-duty truck industry begins to evolve into full adoption of natural gas vehicles."

The WheelTime Network is North America's highest quality truck service network. Its eighteen member companies provide installation and warranty support through nearly 200 service centers, 2,800 service bays, 3,000 factory-trained technicians and 30 training facilities located across the United States and Canada. WheelTime's premier repair and maintenance service management program that ensures customers receive consistent levels of service and consistent hours of labor per repair or service regardless of the WheelTime Network location.

About American Power Group Corporation
American Power Group's alternative energy subsidiary, American Power Group, Inc., provides a cost-effective patented Turbocharged Natural Gas™ conversion technology for vehicular, stationary and off-road mobile diesel engines. American Power Group's dual fuel technology is a unique non-invasive energy enhancement system that converts existing diesel engines into more efficient and environmentally friendly engines that have the flexibility to run on: (1) diesel fuel and liquefied natural gas; (2) diesel fuel and compressed natural gas; (3) diesel fuel and pipeline or well-head gas; and (4) diesel fuel and bio-methane, with the flexibility to return to 100% diesel fuel operation at any time. The proprietary technology seamlessly displaces up to 80% of the normal diesel fuel consumption with the average displacement ranging from 40% to 65%. The energized fuel balance is maintained with a proprietary read-only electronic controller system ensuring the engines operate at original equipment manufacturers' specified temperatures and pressures. Installation on a wide variety of engine models and end-market applications require no engine modifications unlike the more expensive invasive fuel-injected systems in the market. See additional information at: www.americanpowergroupinc.com.
