Mi-Co Announces New iPad and Android Apps for Mi-Forms Mobile-Forms Software

Mi-Forms, the Best-of-Breed Mobile-Forms Software Platform, Is Now Enhanced With New Paper-Like Mobile-Forms on iPad and Android Devices for Offline, Flexible Mobile Data Capture

DURHAM, NC--(Marketwired - May 23, 2013) -  Mi-Co, the Mobile Information Corporation, announced the availability of new paper-like mobile-forms apps on iPad and Android OS for its best-of-breed Mi-Forms mobile-forms software platform today, to enable the capture of any data on any device, and integration to any back-end systems. Mi-Forms technology is used by organizations such as Sutter Health, the NC Department of Agriculture, Eli Lilly, Children's Hospital Boston, Newmont Mining and many more to go paperless using Tablets & mobile devices.

The Mi-Forms Version 9.1 release provides both developers and end-users with a user friendly means of building forms automation applications. Developers build forms and business rules in Mi-Forms Designer, which automatically generates a platform independent presentation layer and both Windows .NET form script code as well as JavaScript code. Mi-Forms Server 9.1 presents the touch input friendly mobile-forms on iOS and Android devices like the Apple iPad and Samsung Galaxy Tab and allows for offline/disconnected data capture and sync, as well as the capture of rich data such as pictures, voice, e-signatures and more.

Chris DiPierro, Mi-Co Director of Software Development, said, "Over our 13 years of experience in mobile data capture, we have seen that the paper-like user interface is the ultimate preference for most users. The Mi-Forms v9.1 iPad and Android apps emulate the simplicity of paper without compromising the flexibility of capturing a variety of data types with validation rules, very easily and efficiently."

Kyle Smith, cardiovascular IT Manager in a major healthcare system in California, said, "Mi-Co has again shown great leadership in the mobility space. We can leverage our existing .NET development skills and existing Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure to empower our users with the latest iOS and Android solutions so that we can use iPads, Android slates and any other hardware we choose with one forms software platform, Mi-Forms." The healthcare system serves patients and their families in more than 100 California cities and towns.
