Canadian Coast Guard Seasonal Rescue Stations Resume Operations

QUEBEC CITY, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - May 31, 2013) -

The Canadian Coast Guard announced today that its seasonal rescue stations have reopened in Bainsville (Ontario), Pointe-aux-Anglais (Oka), Beaconsfield, Longueuil, Sorel and Trois-Rivières.These bases will be in regular operation Monday to Thursday between the hours of 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. and Friday to Sunday between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. until September 2, 2013.

Any marine emergency can be reported to the Canadian Coast Guard 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, by calling 1 800 463-4393 or 418-648-3599, or by contacting a Marine Communications and Traffic Services centre on VHF radio (channel 16) or dialling *16 on a cell phone.
