Information Builders Recognizes Customers for Maximizing Information Capital

Business Intelligence Leader Honors Organizations for Deriving Most Value From Technology Deployments

ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwired - Jun 4, 2013) - Today at its 2013 Summit User Conference, Information Builders, a leader in business intelligence (BI) and analytics, information integrity, and integration solutions, announced the winners of its Awards of Distinction for innovative use of BI and integration technology. This year's awards recognize customers that exemplify the Summit theme of maximizing information capital to improve organizational effectiveness and better serve society.

"This year's award recipients are proof of the value acquired by extending BI capabilities to operational users and external parties," said Gerald Cohen, president and CEO of Information Builders. "Information Builders congratulates these and all of our customers on their ongoing achievements in deriving returns from their information capital."

Information Builders recognized the following customers with Awards of Distinction during the opening ceremony of Summit 2013:

Most Innovative Use of BI Technology, Domestic - Neways
Neways, a manufacturer of personal care, household, and nutritional products, is using WebFOCUS Hyperstage to deliver real-time metrics to nearly 200,000 people in more than 30 countries. With a few clicks in a dashboard, distributors can determine how their sales organizations are performing and which people are close to achieving qualification levels, to help them maximize their earning potential. Graphic displays on their smartphones, tablets, and laptops present real-time metrics from a global standard BI tool.

Most Innovative Use of BI Technology, International - Portugal Telecom (PT Inovação)
Portugal Telecom Inovação, the innovation company of the largest telecommunications service provider in Portugal, is using WebFOCUS Reporting Server, BI Portal, and InfoAssist integrated in their ALTAIA Performance Management framework, to deliver customer experience and quality of service applications to their customers throughout the world. Tight integration has enabled a seamless experience in which user-friendly reports, dashboards, and other analytic assets are naturally surfaced within each worker's day-to-day work routine. This widespread BI deployment spans many countries throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America, bringing innovative information management capabilities to Portugal Telecom's (PT Inovação) worldwide network.

Best Use of iWay Software - Lehigh Valley Health Network

As the leading healthcare provider in the Allentown, PA community, Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) understands that optimal healthcare depends not only on providing patients with quality services, but also on the ability to access accurate information to make data-driven decisions. Lehigh is accomplishing this objective with the iWay Omni-Patient solution, a fully integrated enterprise information management application that gives clinicians and administrators a trusted, comprehensive view of metrics related to patients, providers, physicians, payers, workers, and facilities.

Best Mobile BI Implementation - Ford Motor Company
With 175,000 employees and 65 plants worldwide, Ford is well acquainted with the challenges of keeping its worldwide workforce engaged. Ford is using WebFOCUS Mobile to study and anticipate Mobile BI use cases to increase its understanding of its mobile workforce and how to serve their BI needs. WebFOCUS Mobile pilot implementations have also helped Ford align to mobile security best practices and Mobile corporate programs.

Humanitarian Award - Computer Sciences Corporation for Work With FEMA
Workers at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) shift into high gear following national disasters, such as hurricane Sandy, but nothing can stall their relief efforts more quickly than a flood of paperwork. FEMA worked with CSC, and thanks to WebFOCUS, they simplified documentation and processes required by the National Flood Insurance Program, which collects flood insurance premiums and pays claims in communities that adopt flood control measures. In the wake of the devastating storm that ravaged the east coast in October 2012, FEMA used WebFOCUS to improve accuracy and hasten reimbursements.
