MRY Strengthens Leadership Team With New Hire and Promotion

Ian Chee Joins as Chief Strategy Officer; Matt Rednor Promoted to Chief Innovation Officer


NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jun 5, 2013) - Creative and technology agency MRY (www.mry.com), today announced the appointment of two senior-level executives to further strengthen the agency's leadership team on the heels of its recent rebrand. Ian Chee joins the agency as Chief Strategy Officer and Matt Rednor, who previously held the title of Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer, has been promoted to the role of Chief Innovation Officer. Both Chee and Rednor will report to MRY's Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Matt Britton.

The announcements build on MRY's continued growth as a full-service digital agency with social at its core. After merging with the U.S. operations of LBi earlier this year, MRY has added significant scale and increased service offerings to make brands remarkable.

Chee, a veteran digital marketer and strategist who most recently served as Director, Co-head of Strategy at AKQA, will lead MRY's strategy team and oversee all planning and strategic output across MRY's U.S. offices.

In his new role as Chief Innovation Officer, Rednor will be responsible for navigating MRY's new agency positioning and creating IP which will continue to drive business growth. He will also be charged with the continued development of the agency's model and service offering.

Chee brings nearly 15 years of experience in digital strategy to MRY, most recently leading planning across all accounts at AKQA NYC, including clients such as Chase, Kraft, & Google. Before joining AKQA, Ian led global strategy for Delta, Samsung, American Express and the Hartford at Digitas as the agency's VP, Director of Account Planning.

Rednor, who joined MRY in 2010, has worked closely with Britton over the course of his tenure to carve out a place for MRY's unique offering in the competitive marketplace. Prior to MRY, Rednor worked his way up through BBDO, helping to manage some of the most visible global campaigns for P&G's Gillette brand and served a stint at smaller innovative experiential marketing company, Cunning, as strategy lead of the company's NY office.
