LONDON--(Marketwired - Jun 5, 2013) - King & Spalding has recruited London-based litigation and arbitration partner Egishe Dzhazoyan as the firm continues to further enhance its City team and international dispute resolution practice.

Dzhazoyan is a UK and Russian-qualified lawyer who has represented clients in more than 50 arbitration and litigation proceedings across a host of international jurisdictions. He has a particular focus on the banking, telecoms and energy sectors. Recent matters include the LCIA arbitration case of UC Rusal plc v Interros International Investments Ltd. and the ICC arbitration case of Fitzpatrick Equatorial Guinea Ltd. v Republic of Equatorial Guinea.

Dzhazoyan joined King & Spalding on Monday (June 3) from the London office of Steptoe & Johnson, where he was a partner and served as co-head of the Russia and CIS group. He is ranked in both Chambers & Partners and Legal 500.

Dzhazoyan becomes the 15th partner in King & Spalding's growing London office and the fourth dispute resolution partner, joining Tom Sprange, Jane Player and Sarah Walker. He will also work closely with the Moscow office, which launched a Russian disputes practice in February with the recruitment of partner Ilia Rachkov.

"Egishe is an excellent lawyer who is highly regarded in key King & Spalding practice areas, including financial services and energy," commented John Keffer, co-managing partner of the London office. "His addition will add further depth to our London disputes group, which has become one of the largest practice areas in the office, as well as form another significant link with our Russian practice."

King & Spalding has now added four dispute resolution partners across its international network since January 2013. In addition to Dzhazoyan and Rachkov, Adrian Cole joined the Dubai and Abu Dhabi offices this week and Peter Megens is due to start in Singapore next month.

"King & Spalding is recognized for its world-renowned dispute resolution practice and I am very pleased to have Egishe as the latest addition to our expanding international team," said Reggie Smith, head of the firm's global disputes practice. "Since the start of 2012, we have added 10 leading disputes partners in London, Paris, Frankfurt, Moscow, the Middle East and Singapore in order to continually improve the services we can offer clients around the globe."
