Back in Motion: Avia Employment Services Helps 1,939 Clients Find Employment

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - June 6, 2013) - Avia Employment Services, a division of Back in Motion Rehab Inc., completed its first year of providing the Employment Program of BC in April, and has released a series of Annual Reports. Among other milestones and information contained in the reports, Avia's activities resulted in 1,939 Clients finding employment.

The Reports describe Avia activities in five WorkBC Employment Services Centres serving local employment needs -Richmond, Surrey-Newton, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Langley - and covers the period from April 2012 to March 2013. Topics include How Participants Access Services, Demographics, Service Efficiency, Outcomes, Stakeholder Satisfaction, and Participant Satisfaction.

"Avia Employment Services has gone above and beyond in assisting our recruiting needs," said a Recruitment Consultant at Drake International after using Avia's no-cost recruiting and interviewing services.

"As an agency based in downtown Vancouver, it is often challenging to get candidates to our office for interviews. We have used four of the Avia's offices in the Lower Mainland to better serve our candidates. The rooms are always prepped for our use and the staff are friendly and professional. We will definitely continue our partnership with Avia."

Katie Smith, Managing Director of New Business Development for Seaton Corp of Canada, also expressed thanks for the services she received from Avia:

"Seaton Corp is one of North America's leading workforce management providers, with expertise supporting clients in the manufacturing, distribution and logistics segments. We recently hired 250 staff for our client's Distribution Centre on Annacis Island, and was that a lot of work.

This was Seaton Corp's first hiring in BC, and it was great to have such an enthusiastic and informed group of people to help us out. They answered our questions on candidate credentialing and where to find a recommended instructor for WHMIS, and assisted us in getting suitable candidates to our doors. They opened their doors and invited us in to meet their job seeking clients. If they didn't have the information for one of our questions they got it for us within 24 hours.

Getting this help from local experts at the WorkBC Employment Centres allowed us to get doing the job we needed to do.

It is great when employers and employment service centres can work together to create solutions. So thank you to all the Newton and Richmond WorkBC Employment Centre staff in helping to 'Get BC Working'."

Back in Motion President Debbie Samsom, Ph.D., encouraged a mood of celebration:

"This marks the one-year anniversary of the official opening of Avia. How time flies! We have learned a great deal and helped many people make significant positive changes in their lives…and one of the most significant positive impacts we can make in person's life is to help them find a job.

While it is important to look ahead at all that we still need to accomplish, we must also not forget to look back and reflect upon the successes we have achieved so far. It is difficult to build upon our accomplishments if we don't acknowledge and celebrate them along the way.

So, thanks to all of you for your dedication, innovation and unyielding determination to make a positive difference in the lives of the people we serve."
