Impact Mobile and Star Micronics Offer a Close-Loop Mobile Marketing Solution to Brands and Retailers

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jun 11, 2013) -  Star Micronics and Impact Mobile are launching a close-loop mobile offer redemption service for retailers and brands called the Digital Shopping Network (DSN). DSN allows brands to engage with shoppers and target them with mobile offers that can be redeemed in any store without affecting POS operations.

DSN allows brands to establish two-way mobile relationships with their loyalists and drive them into partner stores and malls to redeem targeted, customized offers on their handsets. DSN's redemption unit is QR code and TXT enabled with a touch screen, magnetic stripe reader and printer.

"We're very excited to launch this solution in partnership with Impact Mobile," Christophe Naasz, Star Micronics' Business Development Director, said. "We believe that our collaboration to provide mobile software and hardware as a bundled solution will help brands and retailers adopt and direct immediate value in the store."

Gary Schwartz, CEO and founder of Impact Mobile, was quoted saying: "Path to purchase in the digital marketplace is difficult for brands and retailers, with purchase intent often being abandoned or disintermediated. DSN offers a simple end-to-end solution from media buying to in-store shopper marketing. We are solving a key pain-point for brands and retailers that does not require a large capital expense, with little or no impact on IT."
