Alfa Laval wins SEK 85 million energy-efficiency order in the Middle East

Alfa Laval – a world leader in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid
handling – has won an order to supply Alfa Laval Packinox heat exchangers to a
petrochemical plant in the Middle East. The order, booked in the Process
Industry segment, has a value of approximately SEK 85 million and delivery is
scheduled to take place in 2013 and 2014.
The Alfa Laval Packinox heat exchangers will be included in the production of
mixed Xylenes, which are used in synthetic nylons and PET bottles, among other
things.

“Our Packinox heat exchangers are considered to be the ultimate choice for the
demanding refinery and petrochemical applications. This order proves their
unmatched energy efficiency performance”, says Lars Renström, President and CEO
of the Alfa Laval Group.

Did you know that… the GCC states in the Middle East (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman,
Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE) account for 11 percent of the global petrochemicals
output, and is expected to exceed 15 percent by 2015?*
