Kungsleden purchases retail property in Halmstad


Listed Swedish property company Kungsleden AB (publ) is purchasing a retail
property in Flygstaden in the Municipality of Halmstad for a total price of
around SEK 42 m including transaction costs. The initial property yield is
approximately 7.5 per cent.
The property has gross leasable area of around 4,040 sq.m. and rental value of
SEK 3.6 m. The tenant is grocery chain Willys.
“This purchase in Flygstaden enhances our property portfolio in south-western
Sweden, adding a retail property with high risk-adjusted returns. Its locality,
yield level and type are fully consistent with our new business strategy,”
commented Anders Kvist, Interim Chief Executive of Kungsleden.
Completion was on 1 July 2013.
