Eastmain Resources Inc.: Evacuation Due to Fires in James Bay, Quebec

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - July 8, 2013) - Eastmain Resources Inc. (TSX:ER) announced that late Friday evening management ordered the evacuation of all crew members from the Clearwater project due to forest fires in the James Bay region of Québec. On July 6, 2013 crew members evacuated to safety in conjunction with a convoy of personnel from Hydro-Québec's EM-1 power facility located 10 km west of the project.

Eastmain is closely monitoring the situation and will resume work at Clearwater when it is safe to return. In the interim, crews will be re-allocated to the Eastmain Mine project where fieldwork will continue.
