ANNAPOLIS, MD--(Marketwired - Jul 9, 2013) -  South River Technologies, Inc. (SRT), an innovator in secure file transfer, announced today the release of version 5.0 of its DMZedge Server product. DMZedge provides a high level of perimeter security for SRT's Cornerstone MFT product by closing inbound ports on the firewall, thereby reducing the risk of network intrusion.

Version 5.0 offers many new features, most notably support for advanced clustering and failover when used with Cornerstone MFT Server v10 or later. Support for Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2008-R2 (both 32-bit and 64-bit) has also been added.

In addition, the cryptographic engine is now fully FIPS-140-2 compliant, enabling government customers to meet security compliance regulations.

DMZedge Server version 5.0 is available for immediate delivery.
