SAINT-ÉVARISTE-DE-FORSYTH, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - July 16, 2013) - Acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, the Honourable Maxime Bernier, Minister of State (Small Business and Tourism, and Agriculture), today announced that the firm Deloupe Inc. has been granted financial assistance for the acquisition of 3D computer-aided design software.

"By supporting Deloupe Inc. in the acquisition of technology, the Government of Canada is demonstrating once again its commitment to investing in projects that ensure economic growth," said the Minister of State.

Founded in 1972, Deloupe Inc. specializes in the design and manufacture of steel semi-trailers for multiple uses, including logging trailers, lowbeds, flatbeds, pole trailers, and trailers for the transport of wood chips, refuse and crushed cars.

Adopting 3D computer-aided design technology will allow the enterprise not only to strengthen its production capacity, but also to achieve significant gains in productivity (faster design capabilities, better quality drawings, reduced risk of errors, etc.). These benefits will result in an increase in sales, particularly to export markets. According to company executives, this anticipated growth should lead to the hiring of 10 new employees.

This assistance, granted in the form of a $104,000 repayable financial contribution, has been awarded through Canada Economic Development's Quebec Economic Development Program.
