DNV KEMA Extends Energy Data Analytics Expertise With Addition of Claude Godin

BURLINGTON, MA--(Marketwired - Aug 14, 2013) - DNV KEMA Energy & Sustainability announced today that Claude Godin has joined the company as Director of Energy Data Analytics. In this role, Mr. Godin is responsible for the design and development of DNV KEMA's energy data analytics product and service offerings in the Americas.

"I'm pleased to welcome Claude to DNV KEMA's energy advisory group. With 35 years of experience in the energy market, specializing in design and delivery of large scale projects, meter data acquisition/management, and energy analytics, he will make a significant contribution to our clients' success," said Hugo van Nispen, Chief Operating Officer, Americas, DNV KEMA.

Prior to joining DNV KEMA, Claude held the post of President, North America at EnergyICT. Under his leadership the company deployed meter data management systems at four major US IOUs, and provided AMI infrastructure to the US Navy, US Air Force, the Department of Labor, as well as real-time energy management systems to major retailers. He grew the company's North American business entity in a highly-competitive environment of established incumbents heading into the sale of EnergyICT, NV to Elster in 2009.

Throughout his career, he has held significant executive management and product development roles at leading utilities and service provider organizations, with P&L responsibilities leading to documented achievements in growth and innovation. During his tenure as an energy executive, he led the delivery of a multiyear, state-wide industrial and commercial energy analysis study for the California Energy Commission, which included comprehensive survey research database product, and accompanying software tool for analytics. While at Manitoba Hydro he championed the company's Load Research Program involving sophisticated data analysis, and the development of new algorithms for capturing and analyzing energy and hydrometric data.

Mr. Godin holds Bachelor Degrees in Economics and Statistics and a MBA from the University of Manitoba. He has been widely published on load research and speaks regularly at leading industry venues.
