Fingerprint Cards (FPC) recruits Country Manager in Japan

Takeshi Murakami has been appointed FPC Country Manager Japan. He joins the
company from Authentec Inc. where he held the position as Senior Sales Manager
Japan, and was responsible for sales into mobiles, tablets, PCs and other IT
products for all major OEM customers in Japan.

Since the local office in Tokyo opened in January 2013, FPC’s activities in
Japan have increased significantly. Due to quickly growing awakened interest in
biometric products and systems in Japan, we are now expanding the existing team
to include a sales and marketing function. The establishment of this function
locally in Tokyo will enable FPC to increase its sales in Japan and provide even
better program support to the large number of electronics companies in the
country.

Johan Carlström, President and Chief Executive Officer of FPC, comments:
“I am delighted to welcome Takeshi Murakami to the FPC team. He brings valuable
customer contacts as well as valuable additional biometry expertise to our
company. The launch we announced with Fujitsu earlier this week is just the
start of FPC’s success in Japan. We expect multiple launches in Japan and other
parts of Asia during the rest of 2013 and beyond.”
