Medical Guardian Named One of the Fastest Growing Companies in the Nation

PHILADELPHIA, PA--(Marketwired - Sep 9, 2013) - Inc. Magazine, one of the premier publications for entrepreneurs and business owners for over 30 years, named Medical Guardian #1279 out of the 5000 fastest growing companies in the country. The Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage of revenue growth over a 4-year period and qualifying companies are required to be based in the U.S., privately held, and independent.

In addition to being named to the top 25% of companies nationwide, Medical Guardian also earned spots on the lists for Top 100 Health Companies (#98), Top 100 Pennsylvania Companies (#30) and Best of The Philadelphia Metro Area (#29).

"It's an incredible honor to be on this distinguished list with so many great companies," said Medical Guardian CEO, Geoff Gross. "Our inclusion on this list is due to the hard work of our employees and their dedication to protecting older Americans each and every day."

Mr. Gross launched Medical Guardian in 2500 square feet of office space on Chestnut Street in Philadelphia's Rittenhouse Park area. Along with a receptionist and a small sales team, Mr. Gross was able to build the company into one of the leading providers of medical alert systems.

In late 2012, Mr. Gross hired an in-house marketing team and prepared to move the entire company into 12,300 square feet of space at 1818 Market Street. Today, Medical Guardian has 40 sales representatives, a Marketing and Design team, a Customer Service Department, and a Human Relations Department. They will be adding a Programming and Shipping department before the year's end, providing employment for an additional fifty people.

Medical Guardian is a leading provider of Personal Emergency Response Systems (PERS) and has helped provide peace of mind to thousands of older Americans and their loved ones. From the beginning, Medical Guardian's mission has been to provide seniors with access to affordable and reliable senior alert systems. Across the country, people now enjoy a renewed sense of independence, and their loved ones have the peace of mind knowing that help is always just a push of a button away.
