CANCER TREATMENT CENTERS OF AMERICA PARTNERS WITH UNITED STATES HISPANIC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

CTCA supports vision and leadership of USHCC in achieving prosperity for all

WASHINGTON, Sept. 13, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) is proud to announce a new partnership with the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC), the leading business organization, representing more than three million Hispanic businesses across the country.

CTCA is the home of integrative and compassionate cancer care, offering esperanza (hope) to Hispanics with advanced stage or complex cancer through personalized treatment options to communities, families and individuals across the United States.

Through this partnership, CTCA aims to support the Hispanic population through its established relationship with USHCC's national network of more than 200 local Hispanic chambers of commerce and over three million Hispanic-owned businesses nationwide.

"Cancer affects the lives of many Americans and has been ranked the leading cause of death among U.S. Hispanics, so it is crucial to communicate with this large and growing segment of the population," says CTCA President and CEO Gerard van Grinsven. "The USHCC's influence and network of major employers and professionals across the country provides an opportunity for CTCA to offer information, support and treatment options to individuals all over the country who may be faced with cancer at some point in their lives."

"The USHCC is proud to join forces with Cancer Treatment Centers of America. This partnership provides an opportunity to connect our three million Hispanic-owned businesses and their families with CTCA to learn about their cancer treatment options. Studies have shown that Hispanics tend not to get screened for common cancers as regularly as non-Hispanics. Therefore, our collaboration with CTCA hopes to shed light on the importance of screening and prevention in our community of this serious disease," says USHCC President Javier Palomarez.

The CTCA "whole-person" cancer treatment approach, combined with a compassionate, nurturing environment provides a highly personal, familial approach. Additionally, patients have access to innovative cancer treatments and technologies, including convenient weekend access to a bilingual oncology team of specialists.  CTCA also offers faith-based services to patients who consider spiritual support fundamental to their treatment.

In addition to surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy and imaging services, CTCA combines traditional cancer treatment with sophisticated complementary therapies, such as nutrition, naturopathic medicine, mind-body medicine and oncology rehabilitation all provided in one facility.

"CTCA supports the vision and leadership of the USHCC in growing and achieving prosperity for all," says van Grinsven. "This includes our role of providing the highest level of care and treatment for individuals facing advanced and complex cancers. It is the esperanza that we all deserve."
