Esterline Combines Business Platforms and Management

Platform President Kevin Moschetti Now Holds Management Responsibility for Seven Esterline Business Units in the U.S. and U.K.

BELLEVUE, WA--(Marketwired - Sep 17, 2013) - Esterline Corporation (NYSE: ESL) (www.esterline.com), a leading specialty manufacturer serving global aerospace and defense markets, today announced that it is in the process of combining its Control Systems platform with its Communication Systems platform to better recognize synergies and share resources. Kevin Moschetti, Platform President for the Communication Systems group, now holds management responsibility for the combined platform.

The move creates one of Esterline's largest business platforms and includes the Korry® switch product line and the Racal Acoustics® communications product line, among several others. The new platform will operate within the company's Avionics & Controls segment and has a worldwide customer base for human-machine interface products and secure communications systems and components used in a variety of aerospace and defense applications. The platform will comprise seven companies in the U.S. and the U.K. with worldwide sales and support capabilities and over 1,500 employees.

Esterline President & CEO Brad Lawrence said combining the businesses is, "...a natural progression since the two platforms work in many of the same spaces, and Kevin's proven leadership abilities will enhance cooperation between these operations."

Moschetti has been with Esterline for 20 years and at the helm of the Communication Systems platform for four years. With Esterline, he has served as President at Palomar Products, one of the companies within Esterline Communication Systems, and also served in a variety of positions including engineering, sales, and business development with Esterline's Advanced Input Systems operation. Prior to joining Esterline he worked as a senior engineer at Boeing. He holds an aeronautical engineering degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and completed the Executive MBA program at the University of Southern California.

The former Platform President for Esterline Control Systems, Michel Potvin, was promoted to the newly created position of Vice President, Corporate Marketing & Strategy for Esterline. That position further advances Esterline's efforts to increase cooperation between business units and centralize some of the strategic sales and marketing functions for the corporation.
