Vancouver Island Man Celebrates $2 Million BC/49 Win

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Sept. 17, 2013) - After discovering he held the winning ticket while grocery shopping on Saturday night, Eufracio Partosa spent the rest of the weekend dreaming of the new home he was going to buy for his family.

Partosa matched all six numbers on the September 11, 2013, BC/49 draw to win $2,000,985.

"I saw all the numbers come up when I checked the ticket," described an excited Partosa. "It's such an unbelievable feeling, I was lucky I didn't have a heart attack."

The 73-year-old grandfather has always purchased and checked his lottery tickets at the neighborhood grocery store, Country Grocer, in Esquimalt on Vancouver Island.

"The store was full of people at the time I went to check my ticket it," added Partosa. "They were all congratulating me and patting me on the back. It's all so exciting."

Immediate plans for the prize include spending time with family, buying a new car and then considering all the options needed for the new home.

This win comes almost a year after two best friends in Victoria shared a $2,004,500 jackpot on the September 8, 2012, BC/49 draw.
