The Countdown is on for ASIS 2013!

ATLANTA, Sept. 18, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- With just one week left until the ASIS International 59th Annual Seminar and Exhibits, security professionals around the world are finalizing travel details and planning their schedules for the week. With 700 exhibitors, dozens of networking events and more than 200 educational sessions on security industry hot topics, there is much to do and only a few days to do it. The free Mobile App for ASIS 2013 has tools to help attendees make the most of their time, including a schedule organizer, up-to-the minute information on exhibits, speakers, events and education, and maps of McCormick Place and the Exhibit Hall.

Occupying Booth #1337, U.S. Security Associates, Inc. (USA) is one of the largest security companies exhibiting at ASIS 2013. Alton Harvey, USA's Senior Vice President, Global Accounts, encourages attendees to take advantage of the Mobile App to find USA's booth and other exhibits of interest on the show floor. "Browse the directory of exhibitors and bookmark the ones you want to visit. Those booths are automatically highlighted on your Exhibit Map.  We have a great location and look forward to seeing many of our clients and potential prospects at this year's show."

Ray O'Hara, CPP, USA's Executive Vice President, Consulting and Investigations, is a former ASIS International president and is scheduled to speak at several of next week's educational sessions.

The first session featuring O'Hara is "Characteristics of Executive Security Leaders" on Tuesday, September 24th at 11:00. O'Hara discusses the attributes that are essential for today's CSOs, drawing on his unique perspective as a former Fortune 500 company CSO and a present-day security service company executive. At 4:30 on Tuesday, O'Hara and other security and safety authorities lead a session exploring lessons that can be learned from recent school violence incidents to "Provide a Safe Learning Environment."

On Wednesday, September 25th at 1:45, O'Hara joins industry experts in a dialogue on "Intelligence-Driven Enterprise Security Operations Centers," a broader, more pro-active approach to identifying and mitigating enterprise risks. At 4:30 on Wednesday, O'Hara is co-presenting a session on "Bullying in the Workplace," focused on how understanding and identifying what bullying really is can lead to proven assessment techniques and methods to handle bullying, thereby reducing workplace violence and costly lawsuits.

O'Hara says his own schedule is quickly filling up, between educational sessions and the events USA has planned, including lunches, dinners and a Chicago Baseball Rooftops event. "I know I speak for many of my colleagues when I say we look forward to the ASIS Seminar and Exhibits all year long. There is no better opportunity for security practitioners to stay connected with colleagues and keep pace with changing dynamics in the security industry."
