Town Hall Set for September 24 to Discuss Operation Finally Home/Wyoming Build

CODY, WY--(Marketwired - Sep 19, 2013) - Lee Kirgan, Director of Construction for Operation Finally Home (OFH), a national non-profit that builds mortgage free homes for America's war wounded, will host a special town hall on Tuesday, September 24, 5:30-6:30 pm, in the Grizzly Room of the Cody Library. He will be answering questions about the first project in Wyoming and requesting partnerships and support from Cody residents and businesses, as well as assistance from any other interested parties.

Kirgan's visit marks a flurry of activity that began June 30th when he made the surprise emotional presentation of a new OFH home to wounded Coast Guard veteran and Chief Petty Officer James Butz, his wife Donna, and their family during the intermission of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association's Xtreme Bulls rodeo event in Cody and broadcast nationally by Great American Country.

Subsequently, McClure Custom Builders, which is managing the building of the first home, hosted a private reception for VIP supporters and corporate sponsors on September 10 at the Pat O'Hara Brewing Company.

The following day, on Patriots Day, September 11, McClure held the official groundbreaking for Operation Finally Home Cody at the location of the new home: 631 19th Street, Cody, WY. Taking part in that shovel ceremony were: the builders John and Robin McClure, donor Charles Cloud, Jason Soule of ProBuild, home recipient James Butz, and developer/donor Ed Higbie, who along with his wife Carol and their family donated the lot. Also on hand was Clint Campbell, Campbell Construction, another Cody OFH supporter.

100% of the funds go toward the home with no administration costs footed by Operation Finally Home. All monies will remain in Cody for the Cody home being built. All proceeds, materials, and labor costs are tax deductible and McClure Builders has the tax appropriate paper work for any and all contributions.
