MUMBAI, INDIA--(Marketwired - Sep 20, 2013) - Red Zen, a popular Thai restaurant in Andheri, has been satisfying the palates of locals, business travelers, families and vacationers since it opened in the Courtyard Mumbai International Airport Hotel. Now, whether dining here for the 50th or the first time, guests will find someone new in the kitchen, whose expertise and background make him the perfect fit for this contemporary restaurant.

Chef Kittisak Khuengthi, popularly known as Chef Jackie, is an expert at presenting authentic cuisine in a contemporary style, which is at the core of this Andheri, Mumbai restaurant. Specializing in various cuisines including Japanese, Chinese, Malaysian and Vietnamese, Chef Jackie has crafted a new Pan-Asian menu at Red Zen, showcasing the region's bold flavors and simple preparations.

"With the introduction of the new menu, we want our guests to experience traditional Pan-Asian food," Vikas Kapai, general manager of this Andheri 4-star hotel, says. "We are thrilled to have a culinary expert like Chef Kittisak, who has in-depth knowledge of the cuisine that will add to the authenticity. We are excited about the new menu, which includes an array of dishes for our guests to explore."

The new menu is comprised of Chef Jackie's signature dishes, and offers everything from spicy salads and Thai curries to meat dishes and sinful desserts. Start a meal with Miso soup (Japanese bean paste soup with seaweed and soft tofu) or Gang Jurd Goong Hor (clear soup with seaweed prawns rolls), followed by Som Tam (green papaya salad with grilled prawns or tofu) or spicy Yam Tua (a simple mixed nut salad). Diners can also share a number of delicious items including Tempura Sushi (crispy fried Japanese sushi rice roll served with wasabi, kikkoman and pickled ginger); Spaghetti Pad Kee Mao, Grilled Beef Steak and Priew Wan Cheese.

For the main courses, Chef Jackie dug into his culinary repertoire to create dishes that highlight a variety of styles. Wake up taste buds with the Gaeng Phed Ped Yarng (roasted chicken red curry with pineapple) or Panang Tow Hoo Grob (crispy tofu with Panang curry sauce). Sample fresh seafood dishes including the Lobster with Hong Kong Soy Sauce and Steamed Pakchoy, and the Kra Tong Ta Lay (deep-fried spicy marinated seafood served with roasted chili sauce). Of course it wouldn't be a traditional Asian meal without rice or noodles. Try the Khao Sap Parot (pineapple rice with prawns, cashew nut and yellow curry powder), Omuraisu (Japanese rice wrapped with omelette and topped with tomato gravy) or Phad Thai (stir-fried Thai noodle with bean sprout, tofu, sweet and sour sauce and meat or seafood).

Desserts are delicious, refreshing and light, and include Dragon Eyes (scooped muskmelon in coconut milk with sago), Tub-Tim Gorb (water chestnut and jackfruit in coconut ice cream) and Kluay Thod (Thai-style banana rolls served with sweet coconut cream topping).

Sampling everything on the new menu at Red Zen will take more than one meal, but to get started, call 91 22 61369999 to make a reservation.
