Death of an Inmate from the Federal Training Centre

LAVAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Sept. 26, 2013) - On September 24, 2013, Michel Côté, an inmate from the Federal Training Centre died at the Cité-de-La-Santé hospital in Laval.

At the time of his death, Mr. Côté, 60 years old, had been serving a sentence of 30 years, 7 months and 16 days for robbery, forcible confinement and possession of weapon, since February 5, 1990.

The inmate's next of kin have been notified of his death.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the police and the coroner have been notified, and the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances of the incident.
