PR Firm in San Francisco @Trainercomms to Raise Money for @SFBaykeeper With Third Annual #Media #SharkTank #Event

PLEASANTON, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 2, 2013) - Trainer Communications, a full-service public relations and integrated marketing agency in the San Francisco Bay Area, returns this fall to help support the San Francisco Baykeeper, a non-profit environmental advocacy organization, with its third annual Media SharkTank event on Oct. 17, 2013. The event marks the third consecutive year Trainer has helped support SF Baykeeper whose mission is to protect and enhance San Francisco Bay's water quality. Last year's event raised $7,500 bringing the total raised for Baykeeper to $17,500 since the event was first launched in 2011.

Along with benefitting Baykeeper, the Third Annual Media SharkTank gives Silicon Valley CEOs the opportunity to pitch their company's story in a private, one-on-one setting to a panel of top-tier broadcast and business media to help position themselves for future coverage. Inspired by ABC's "Shark Tank," a show where inventors present ideas or products to a panel of wealthy entrepreneurs in hopes of receiving an investment, CEOs deliver a private, three-minute pitch to a panel of Bay Area broadcast and business journalists, who then provide real-time feedback and rate each pitch based on the company's position in the market. This "friendly fire" experience helps CEOs hone their presentation skills and refresh their stories to be more successful when interviewed in the future.

Some of this year's media judges include:

Following the rounds of pitching, Media SharkTank participants will enjoy a cocktail reception hosted by Trainer Communications, allowing for further conversation and networking among the participants and the panel of journalists. The Media SharkTank event will take place at 5:30 p.m. PT at Hotel Vitale, an elegant venue in San Francisco situated on a beautiful stretch of The Embarcadero overlooking the Bay Bridge.

Donations to participate in the event are $1,750 per company, which includes entry for one executive spokesperson and an executive guest. Companies must register by Oct. 10 and space is limited. To register for this event, go to: http://www.trainercomm.com/media-hub/Media-SharkTank/.
