Mr. Bouvat-Merlin comes to QuickLogic most recently from Qualcomm Atheros, a wholly owned subsidiary of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., and leading provider of wireless and wired technologies for the mobile, networking, computing and consumer electronics markets. In the role of Director, Product Management & Technology Roadmaps for the Atheros division, Mr. Bouvat-Merlin was responsible for developing and delivering the connectivity roadmap in support of multiple product lines, including mobile/computing clients, access point and automotive.
Prior to Qualcomm, Mr. Bouvat-Merlin was Director, Technical Program Management Office, Mobile Application Processor at Broadcom Corporation, a global innovator and leader in semiconductor solutions for wired and wireless communications. During his tenure, he was credited with the definition and successful launch of the HSPA+ Chipsets, as well as leading teams developing an additional 10 chipset programs for the smartphone, tablet and enterprise space.
He holds a BSEE in Physics (with honors) from the Faculte de Luminy (Marseille, France) and a MSEE in Micro-Electronics Sciences from ESINSA (Nice, France.)
