Stuff-a-Bus for Your Neighbours

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Oct. 9, 2013) - On Saturday November 2nd, Calgary Transit buses will be parked outside Calgary Co-op stores, not for passengers but for donations to the Calgary Food Bank at the 21st annual Stuff-a-bus event, one of the city's largest one-day food drives.

Make sure to make a non-perishable food donation at all Calgary and area Co-op stores as food and funds received at this year's Stuff-a-Bus event will go a long way to helping Calgarians. The Calgary Food Bank is forecasting an increased need for hampers this holiday season, as many are experiencing strained finances due to rebuilding after the summer's flood.

In 2012, Stuff-a-Bus collected 56,000 lbs in food and $73, 000 in funds
