Zettaset Files Trade Secret Misappropriation Lawsuit Against Intel Corporation

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 14, 2013) - Zettaset, Inc., the leader in secure Big Data management, today announced that it has filed a misappropriation of trade secrets civil complaint against Intel Corporation in the Superior Court of the State of California for the County of Santa Clara.

The complaint alleges, among other things, that Intel unlawfully extracted trade secrets from Zettaset's product and technology to such a level that the Intel Manager for Apache Hadoop Software now mirrors the features and functionality of Zettaset's Orchestrator software.

"We have made significant investments in developing our Orchestrator management platform," said Jim Vogt, President and Chief Executive Officer at Zettaset. "We had no alternative but to take legal action to protect our intellectual property so we can continue to invest in our cutting edge technology and provide solutions that address the growing needs of the Big Data market."

The discovery phase in the case has commenced and a pre-trial conference is scheduled for February 14, 2014 at 10am.
