The festival, hosted in association with Korea Agro-Fisheries and Food Trade Corporation, brings renowned Korean chef Jeon Keun Sik, sous chef at the JW Marriott Hotel Seoul, to this Pune Station hotel to present an authentic Korean dining experience featuring his signature dishes.
"Korean food is not often explored in our city," Ajmal Salim, executive chef at the JW Marriott Hotel Pune, says, "and we want to offer foodies the opportunity to experience this lesser known but delicious cuisine."
The festival takes place during dinner service at the hotel's newly re-launched Pune Asian restaurant Shakahari, featuring vegetarian cuisine, and Spice Kitchen, its all-day dining venue featuring international fare. The festival menu includes chef Sik's specialties including Korean porridge, dolsot bibimbap (white rice topped with vegetables and chili paste), chicken soup with abalone, stir-fried scallops with mushrooms, soy-marinated lamb bulgogi, fried rice with kimchee, ogokbab (five-grain rice) and Korean pancakes.
