Over 25 Global Aviation Industry Executives to Discuss the Future at Boyd Group International Summit

EVERGREEN, Colo., Oct. 21, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- With major changes manifesting in all areas of aviation – from air service, to airline strategies, to fleet economics, to emerging markets such as China and India – virtually all traditional metrics to plan the future are becoming obsolete.

These new dynamics, and the opportunities they represent for all sectors of the industry, will be the focus of the 18th annual Boyd Group International Aviation Forecast Summit, November 3-5 in Baltimore.

In addition to airline CEOs and senior executives from US airlines including JetBlue, Spirit, American, United, Delta, Virgin America, Southwest, and Allegiant, the Summit will host discussions with airline executives from the EU, China, Japan, Africa, and the UK. Senior executives from British Airways, Air China, Korean, Hainan, Air Berlin, and South African will be involved in the Summit's unique interactive discussion sessions.

The industry's #1 forecast event, the Summit will also feature sessions with financial leaders from T. Rowe Price and J.P. Morgan to explore the implications of a consolidated airline industry that will need billions of new capital to finance the hundreds of new-generation airliners on order. This will also be a focus in the Aircraft Forecast session, with presentations from executives from all of the major aircraft manufacturers -Airbus, Embraer, Bombardier, Boeing and Mitsubishi.

The Summit will also feature Boyd Group International's respected 10-year forecasts of air traffic demand, and a hard discussion of the emerging "disruptive realities" that will represent new opportunities for all sectors – airports, airlines, financial houses, OEMs, and labor.

"We are excited to be bringing the Summit to Baltimore and to be working with BWI, one of the nation's most progressive airports," said Michael Boyd, President and CEO of the firm. "As with prior Summits, we expect to discover whole new perspectives for the future, and deliver data and insights our attendees can actually apply to their future planning."

The 18th Annual International Aviation Forecast Summit will be held at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel. Additional information is available at http://www.aviationforecastsummit.com.
