SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwired - Nov 6, 2013) - Eastwick, a leading independent strategic communications firm focused on technology clients, today announced continued agency growth with an expanded executive team and development of a content marketing group as part of the firm's strategy for enhancing capabilities and core practice areas.

Joining Eastwick's senior management team to lead the content marketing group is veteran journalist, Mark Veverka. Mark has more than 25 years of journalism experience. He is currently a contributing financial and technology columnist for USA Today. He was previously the West Coast Editor of Barron's for 13 years and spearheaded the magazine's coverage of Silicon Valley. Prior to that, he was a staff writer for The Wall Street Journal.

"I'm really looking forward to joining Eastwick and building a content business worthy of the agency's excellent reputation and track record," Mark said.

As head of the Eastwick content marketing group, Mark will be responsible for developing, leading and managing the strategic integration of content into client businesses, increasing the impact of written, visual, video, social, and lead-generation content for all Eastwick clients. Mark will also contribute to agency management and planning, bringing a content orientation to the Eastwick culture.

"Getting the right story to the right people has always been a core part of what we do," said Barbara Bates, CEO and founder of Eastwick. "More and more clients are turning to us for strategic content development, and Mark's vision and experience will really help us lead and manage this new business group."

Also joining Eastwick's executive team is respected communications professional Karen Clyne, vice president, who joins from Herrick Media Public Relations. Karen is a proven leader dedicated to team success and brings 15 years of experience as an integrated marketer with deep knowledge of technology communication strategy, PR and influencer relations.

"We're on track to grow our revenue by 25 percent in 2013," Barbara said. "Adding new senior management who bring a wide range of skill sets to the team helps us continue to show progress on our company vision of growth and specialization."

The announcement comes on the heels of significant client growth. Eastwick recently partnered with an elite team of world-class agencies on a multi-national relaunch campaign for Unify, formerly known as Siemens Enterprise Communications.

Eastwick led the earned and social media programs for Unify as well as content and message strategy for the company as it moved toward the major rebrand and relaunch. Unveiling of the new vision and new brand took place on October 15 through a global webcast and in-person events in Munich and New York. The announcement drove an enormous number of people to the global webcast, elevating two campaign-focused hashtags -- #HarmonizeNow and #UnifyNow -- to the global trending topics list on Twitter.

Other market leaders turning to Eastwick for value-building results include Agari, Emergence Capital, Intacct, Treasure Data, Videology and more. Eastwick reports continued client momentum and growth across all its technology verticals, including enterprise, security, consumer, big data/analytics, cleantech, education technology, digital media and entertainment.
