Micro-Brasserie L'Alchimiste Receives Financial Support from Government of Canada

JOLIETTE, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Nov. 7, 2013) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that Micro-Brasserie L'Alchimiste has been granted financial assistance for the purchase of higher-performance manufacturing equipment.

"The Government of Canada believes economic prosperity is achieved through investments like the one Micro-Brasserie L'Alchimiste is making to raise its production capacity and competitiveness," said Minister Lebel.

Micro-Brasserie L'Alchimiste brews consumer beers, specialty beers and private-label beers for distribution across Quebec. The enterprise, which has grown considerably since its establishment in 2001, is at the stage where it needs to modernize its equipment to pursue its development.

The company's project involves acquiring fermenters, a conditioning tank and packaging and handling equipment. The microbrewery also intends to automate a portion of its production line in order to bolster productivity and increase its manufacturing capacity.
